Ham & Prosciutto Slicers by Berti have a blade that is narrow and thin for extremely thin slices of cured hams like prosciutto and other cooked meats. Slicing knives are similar to carving knives, however they have long, thin blades with either a round or pointed tip, which differs from carving knives. With a more flexible blade than a carving knife, slicing knives are used to cut thinner slices of roast, fruits and vegetables. Occasionally these knives have granton edges preventing meat from tearing during the slice. They are ideal for slicing and carving thin cuts of meat, such as chicken, pork, beef, venison, and fish.
