Two English chaps, Shaun and Gerry, founded Skandinavisk after moving to the Scandinavian region, working for two big American multinational companies and fell in love with two blonde Scandinavian girls 15 years ago and never left. They also fell in love with the Scandinavian way of life. There is a focus on little things in life, those small moments you take for granted. There is a priority of family over career, cycling to the office, returning home at 4pm, being surrounded by the untouched nature and the endless summers. It’s a beautiful and tranquil lifestyle that even the bitterest winter can’t dilute. They capture the essence of the Scandinavian lifestyle and bring it to life in Skandinavisk through the colors and scents. Scandinavians use more candles than any other nation in the world. No matter what time of day they will be burning a candle. They know that a candle transforms a moment, making it softer, more informal and cozy. Not to mention they are the worlds happiest people, something worth sharing.
