MUN

MŪN is a 100% natural, vegan, cruelty free, organic and sustainably sourced skincare line that was founded by International makeup artist Munemi Imai. After decades of working with women from all around the world Munemi had a desire to create a skincare line that was for every skin type and shade. Munemi experienced a brief illness that led her to transform her diet and realize the importance of what ingredients we put in and on our bodies. She took a research trip to Morocco to source healing ingredients. It was there that she discovered the Prickly Pear Cactus oil. After this discovery MUN was born. MUN is a unique and innovative line of pure products that are full of rich nutrients that will work synergistically to  nurture, balance and brighten all skin types for radiant vitality at every age. MUN focuses on collaborating across cultures to empower others and enable sustainable economic development. It is partnered with a union of women’s co-operatives in Morocco. Made up of primarily Berber women, ages 18 to 50, they produce the Argan, Prickly Pear Seed and Olive oils used in MUN products. It is a self regulated operation that has a functioning ecosystem, with new trees planted according to the desired scope of production. The profits from the co-ops support a social fund that provides tutors to teach the women how to read and write, as well as scholarships for their children to attend college; and a health fund that covers healthcare costs. These efforts continue to help women be empowered and be autonomous in a society traditionally dominated by men.
