The Skydro is a fascinating ceiling lamp designed by Ross Lovegrove for Artemide. A series of pebbles form a bright sky reflecting the light that bounces on its biomorphic surfaces. It is a ceiling-mounted luminaire for indirect halogen lighting. The ceiling light has reflective units (pebbles) made of molded thermoplastic with a polished chrome finish. Available in two versions: electrified: indirect light comes from die-cast polished aluminum pebbles that are integrated in the luminaire, and non-electrified: accent light comes from other light sources that are separate from the luminaire. The Skydro ceiling lamp mounts onto standard electrical junction boxes and with provision for additional concealed ceiling fastening.
