Kalon available at SportiqueKalon Studios was founded in Los Angles in 2007 by husband and wife design team Johannes Pauwen and Michaele Simmering. When they were expecting their first child they were unable to find a sustainable crib that met their design needs so they decided to make their own. Within just a year Kalon was named one of the 100 most influential green companies in the world by Time magazine. Kalon is recognized on an international level for their transparent ethics and chic design. They place a strong focus on materials and a zero-compromise approach to quality and sustainability. Inspired to use design to create a positive change in the world they embrace American craft, each piece is made by highly skilled craftsmen in New England. The timber used is locally sourced from sustainable forests and they only use sustainable and high quality finishes and materials. Every piece is designed to ensure durability and flexibility in terms of design and functionality. Kalon’s intent is to make every piece timeless so you can cherish it for a life time. All pieces for North America are made in New England. All pieces for Europe are made in Europe.
