Issey Miyake
Infamous Japanese designer Issey Miyake has joined with a number of collaborators, the result of which has been the development of many timeless designer watches. Miyake established a working method of collaborating with manufacturers and artists, trying to adapt new products to the needs of a contemporary lifestyle. Their main motivation is to enhance people’s daily lives through the spirit of creativity, curiosity and love. Issey Miyake has regularly participated in Paris Fashion Week since 1973. He also developed a friendship with the late Steve Jobs of Apple and produced the black turtlenecks which would become a part of Jobs' signature attire. Jobs said, "So I asked Issey to make me some of his black turtlenecks that I liked, and he made me like a hundred of them.” Issey Miyake’s basic philosophy is the continuing focus on both the importance of imagination and the development of new technologies in which to make clothing.
