HanWag was founded By Hans Wagner in 1921 in Jetzendorf, Bavaria. Hans Wagner's brothers were also shoemakers who had their own companies. HanWag is inspired by the Wagner brothers, development of outdoor sports and Sepp Wagner(who took over the company). HanWag believes we all leave trails as we walk. HanWag has been following their trail for over 90 years. Their values became tradition, and their commitment became passion. HanWag was born in Bavaria and worn around the world. Hanwag has been manufacturing high-quality mountaineering and trekking footwear at its headquarters in Vierkirchen, near Munich since 1921. They focus on the perfect fit, robustness and high-quality materials, all of HanWag's footwear is made in Europe. As part of the Fenix Outdoor group, Environmental Standards plays a key role at Hanwag. They want to be able to continue to enjoy the Bavarian Alps, mountains, forests and meadows in the future.
