The RE800 from Hifiman are in-ear headphones featuring an electroplated, 24K gold-plated housing, as well as a 9.2mm dynamic topology driver. This construction—a proprietary technology—uses a nano-particle coating applied to its surface, giving the RE800 the clarity and precision of earbuds sporting multiple-driver designs, but without the crossover issues and coherency problems often found in multiple-driver earbuds.With this topology driver, distortion common in other dynamic drivers is sufficiently mitigated.
