Danese Milano features Enzo Mari, born in Novara, Italy where he studied classics and literature at the Academia di Brera in Milan from 1952 to 1956. The Simboli Sinsemantici (Synsemantic Symbols) distills geometric forms into iconic symbols, seen here as the Star. The design was originally created by Mari in 1972 and newly editioned for 2013 with black ink silkscreened on a white background for stark contrast.
