Ass Savers
The Ass Savers story starts in 2011 on a rainy Gothenburg day. The Ass Savers Founder, Staffan Weigel, decided to rip off a piece cardboard to place on his bike saddle, in a desperate attempt to keep himself somewhat dry. Surprised by the positive results, Steffan and some of his buddies refined the makeshift seat cover into a light weight durable mudguard. True to the tradition of Gothenburg humor, the project was named Ass Savers. Satisfied with the finished product, the friends posted a short video about how the mudguard works and the rest is history! The video went viral within 24 hours so the guys had a small web shop set up. After 6 months demand had grown the point where Weigel needed to quit his day job and focus on Ass Savers full time. The brand that began as a joke is now recognized by millions of cyclists worldwide!
