Another Country

Another Country is inspired by the British Country kitchen style, Shaker, traditional Scandinavian and Japanese woodwork. Their goal is to re-interpret the spirit and functionality of these honest forms of furniture and accessories for modern day. All their products are crafted with high quality materials that will last. The tabletop pottery collection was handmade in Sri Lanka and designed by Ian McIntyre. Each stoneware piece is fired at an unconventional high temperature to give strength and a scorched color. The stoneware is pressed fettled, dipped in glaze then fired, the matte black and terracotta pieces are glazed on the interior. This tabletop pottery collection was nominated for the Elle Decoration British Design Awards in 2012.
