Explore: Kauai, "The Garden Isle"
Beyond beautiful. Filled with tons of opportunities for adventure. It might be just a little more humid than you’re used to. Hawaii—and more specifically Kauai—has always been my travel destination.
It's one of the more quiet islands, making everything a little more enjoyable. The beaches aren’t as crowded and the hiking trails don’t require waking up at 5am to beat the rush. Oh, and how could I forget to mention that the scariest predator on the island are—wait for it—roosters. That’s right. No snakes. Nothing.
Kauai's Na Pali Coast takes the spotlight with over 6,000 acres of state park that you can only get to by helicopter, boat, or by foot via the Kalalau trail. From the Spouting Horn on the southern shore to the 173-foot drops at Wailua Falls, this island has become one of my favorite places on earth.
It’s no wonder movies like Pirates of the Caribbean, Jurassic Park, King Kong, and Soul Surfer were filmed in Kauai’s tropical forests and the North Shore’s dramatic cliffs. Kauai can be a wonderful travel location for families or even solo adventurers with a taste for a red dirt, tropical adventure. It's so beautiful, it's literally something straight from the movies.

Can almost smell that tropical humidity – and those cooling trade winds. Bought back pleasant memories.
Well done.
